Family Traditions, by Glenda Pigue

‘Twas the night before Christmas, & all through the house,
The time we have all been waiting for, Three long hours of exciting chaos,
From the day after Thanksgiving to this very hour, so much yet to do.
Will it all get done? Shopping, wrapping, cleaning, & cooking just to name a few.
Tell me again, this is so much fun. Family traditions are a special way to connect.
Each year We make new memories & for years We will reflect.
From the time we stand together hand in hand, to offer our thanks to our God in Heaven for the gifts he gives,
Reminds us again our Savor came as a Babe, & still he lives.
A wild time of opening the gifts carefully picked, the smiles
And laughter on tiny faces make it all worth while.
We must treasure the time, they are growing so fast.
This year will soon be gone & part of the past.
So love, hug, & laugh with all your might,
We all know…come January We will all be on a diet!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
